Name:	Drabbles and Story Seeds
About	Inspired by the awesome drabble communities on LiveJournal and just by the huge amount of fun that I've have writing these, I've decided to make (as far as I can find) DeadJournal's first drabble community. The rules are very simple. 1. There should be a new challenge posted at least every week, sometimes there are more than one, sometimes less, generally more towards the more. *grin* Just like in the other drabble communities, post as many drabbles as you FEEL like writing! There's not a limit. 2. You can write any fandom, any pairing, any crossover, any genre, any rating. Go with whatever moves you. Just please, if you have more mature content or major spoilers, PLEASE use a cut tag. Don't know how? Meander over to This FAQ and learn how. It's EASY. I promise. 3. Drabbles were originally intended for about a hundred words, but we're not picky or word nazis here. If it gets to be really long just toss it behind a cut tag and let us know how many words. A Story Seed is one or more lines that you then take and develop into a piece of short fiction. Story seeds can be lines of dialog, a situation to put characters in, or any other kind of prompt for a story. These can be as long or as short as you like. 4. When posting your seeds or drabbles please title them and give us some basic information about the content. Example: Title: Title of Story Challenge: whatever challenge this is written in response to. Rating: G through NC-17 Fandom: Fandom or Original Characters Words: How many words in the piece 5. Please post the drabbles and seeds in here and don't just link them. Feel free to cross post to your own journals as well if you’d like. But we'd love to have them onsite here. They are easier to read and archive. 6. Please don't spam the community with non drabble things. If you write seven drabbles you can post them in seven posts, or combine them, that's fine too. But don't advertise for other communities in here without giving us a drabble at least. Posts like that will be deleted. 7. Want to suggest a challenge? Just post it as a comment to one of the challenges. I'd be glad for any ideas. You can also e-mail them to me at caitirin(at)yahoo(dot)com. 8. Don't have a DeadJournal? You can always e-mail an entry to a moderator ( caitirin(at)yahoo(dot)com ) and we'll post it for you. 9. Aren't you tired of these yet? Just one last one. Please be respectful of other's work.
